Marcia A. Hall

Marcia A. Hall is serving her second term as Alderman for the City of Frederick. A Frederick resident since 1984, Alderwoman Hall worked as an academic librarian, retiring after 30 years. Alderwoman Hall received her undergraduate degree from Drake University and a master’s degree from the University of Missouri.

Alderwoman Hall currently represents the city and works with the following boards and organizations: Downtown Frederick Partnership, Streets and Sanitation Committee, Utilities Committee, Plumbing Board, Electrical Board, Frederick Arts Council, Frederick Tourism Council, Delaplaine Visual Arts and Education Center, Carroll Creek Task Force, Committee for Frederick, Celebrate Frederick, Purchasing Committee, and the Taxicab Commission.

She is an active member of the Maryland Municipal League (MML) Legislative Committee.

Ms. Hall has long been involved in the Frederick community as a member of the League of Women Voters, Frederick Art Club, Tasker’s Chance Garden Club, and with the board of Advocates for Homeless Families. Frederick Reads, a new program promoting reading, is currently a special interest of hers.

She and her husband, Dr. Jerry L. Quance, DVM, have a grown son.
