A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. Check out the Frederick Pickleball website for more information.

Level Clarification
Novice: Pickleball 101 graduates and new players of less than 2 years
Advanced Novice: Individuals that have been playing at least 2 years and those that prefer to stay competitive and not intermediate
Intermediate: Two or more years playing, non tournament and non rated player
Advanced Intermediate: Tournament player and 3.5 or higher rating

The Basics

  1. A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.
  2. Played both indoor or outdoors on a badminton sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.
  3. Played with a paddle and a plastic ball.
