The City of Frederick Taxicab Commission will hold a lottery for six new taxicab permits on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 9:00 AM. in the Boardroom at City Hall located at 101 North Court Street, Frederick, Maryland. 

The City of Frederick has granted a lane closure permit for one lane of Elm Street between Park Avenue and Grace Alley to allow Washington Gas to hook up service to 519 Elm Street.

The City of Frederick has granted a road closure permit to close a portion of Bowman Farm Road between the Motor Vehicles Administration (MVA) parking lot entrance and the end of Bowman Farm Road to accommodate the Central Maryland Soap Box Derby Rally.
